Olivia’s Baskets Sew-Along

Thank you to those of you who have subscribed to join in on my Olivia’s Baskets Sew-along.  I am so excited to have you along! If you haven’t already subscribed to the Sew-Along newsletter, you can do that here. I’ll be giving away fabric and some of my favorite notions, so you won’t want to miss it.

I’ve split up the sew-along into three bite-sized parts so you can do a little bit at a time and more easily fit it into your busy schedule. Here is the timetable:

Week 1:  Announce your participation in the sew-along using the #oliviabasketsewalong hashtag and a photo of your fabric pull. Cut out your fabric pieces.

Here’s the fabric pull for my own baskets.

Week 2: Quilt your Soft and Stable and make the handles.

Week 3: Assemble and bind the basket, then fill it with your goodies!

Trust me, you’re in for some fabulous prizes from the following sponsors that I’ll be giving away to some lucky winners:

Here’s a sneak peak of some of the prizes I’ll be giving away!

Follow the prompts each week, use the hashtag above in your posts, and you will be entered to win a prize each week!

When I designed Olivia’s Baskets, I had my adorable nieces in mind, thinking they would be a perfect addition to a nursery. But that’s not all they are great for—I have seen these baskets used for many different purposes e.g. storing fabric or yarn, and my personal favorite—Easter Baskets! Which is why this sew-along is conveniently-timed before Easter!  I am working on some Easter Baskets for my own nieces.

As you work on your own Olivia’s Baskets, think about who it’d be perfect for—even if it’s yourself! I promise I won’t tell. 🙂

If you don’t have a pattern already you can snag one here in my shop!

    Hi and good morning,

I am sew excited to sew some baskets. Please ignore my stupidity, but where do I get the pattern from. I don’t know how much fabric to pull for the different sizes?

Here is a link to the pattern in my shop: Olivia’s Baskets Pattern

There yardage requirements are listed on the back cover of the pattern. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Does my instagram account have to have the privacy setting open in order for you to see my posted photo?

    1. Kaitlyn says:

For me to see the photo, yes the privacy settings need to be set to public. But if you’d like to screen shot me a photo of your post I can enter you into the weekly prize drawing!

I’ve had the pattern for quite a while. Had to search GoodReader for it. So glad you decided to have a sew along for it. Have it all cut out and my lines to guilt all marked out. I’ve never done a sew or quilt along be for. I guess this is my year to step out of my comfort zone. Thanks!!!!
