The Violet Backpack

Hello folks. I would like to introduce you to my newest pattern: The Violet Backpack. If you’re a regular around here, you know I like to name my patterns after my nieces’ names. Olivia, Truvy, and Wylie are all namesakes for previous patterns of mine. I knew I would eventually make a pattern named after my own little girl. What I didn’t expect was to do it in the first year of her life! But here we are. I have wanted to design a small backpack for a long time. I wanted one of my own really badly after visiting Disneyland in 2020 (thinking this would be the perfect size for a Disney trip)! Purr-fect Patchwork

Sarah Jane was speaking so we both went to fan girl over an incredible artist and fabric designer. We realized there that we were both quilters and became friends! I'll also briefly explain what role I can play in process of finishing your quilt. Edge-to-Edge quilting entails a single design that covers the entire quilt top.  It is sometimes referred to as an all-over design as well. An edge-to-edge design can be very intricate and even span the entire width of your quilt, but it repeats the same design for each row. This is most definitely the most affordable type of quilting,...

Machine Quilting

I am SO excited to be offering quilting services to my quilting friends!  I have been quilting on a Gammill Statler Stitcher for about 10 years now.  I did all the machine quilting for Quilted Works for about 6 years.  Since I moved away from St. George, I have missed being able to quilt my quilts, and my bag fabric! AND NOW... I have a machine of my own!! I feel beyond lucky and blessed to have a machine and to be able to offer services to others!  Shout out to all in my life who have supported me and believed in me to get to this point!  I love you all forever! So if anyone has questions about machine quilting designs, pricing, batting, etc. Please send me and email at kaitlyn@knotandthreaddesign.com or DM me on Instagram @knotandthread Would love to help you finish your quilts! I am working on getting a...
