Patchwork Duffle

Introducing the Patchwork Duffle bag pattern! This has been such an incredibly fun project to work on and create. I love when a patten just comes together and when I just can't wait to make 30 of them. I have currently made 5 versions so far and can't wait to share them all. The pattern is written to use 3.5'' scraps of fabric to achieve the most darling patchwork bag. Or if you want a quicker make, just use one exterior fabric. The bag has two exterior pockets and only uses 1 zipper. I wanted to create a project that would be easy for a beginner bag maker, without a lot of expense into hardware. I created two Youtube Videos...

Sew Pink 2021

Welcome to SEW PINK 2021! For those that are new to the #SewPink Initiative, it was created by ByAnnie.com LLC to raise awareness for breast cancer throughout the year. Their efforts culminate in an annual blog hop during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month to promote self-care, awareness, early detection and support for those affected by breast cancer. I have been able to participate the last 2 years as well and I love the chance to ponder, raise awareness and be reminded of the seriousness that Breast Cancer is, and the simple efforts we can make to fight this! Its a great reason I've found each October to sew with some pink fabrics and make a donation to a worthy cause. I am excited to share my PINK project this year. I decided to stick with another theme of...

Olivia Basket Sew-along: Week 2

I am so excited for all of you who have joined in to sew Olivia's Baskets with me. Now that we have everything cut out, we are going to do some quilting! These baskets feature an unquieted exterior and a quilted lining (no loose lining here). That means we will only quilt the lining fabric to the Soft and Stable. I made a YouTube tutorial with tips for quilting Soft and Stable, so give it a watch if you're feeling hesitant or unsure. In the video, I share easy tips for creating 1'' crosshatch quilting on some Hello Pouches I was making, but the tips are still the same for any quilting project. Check out that video here.
