Blog Tour, Cove Clutches, Second Star Quilt

Windsor Garden Blog Tour

Hello friends! Its been a busy summer here for me as I’ve been preparing to leave for Africa with Mothers Without BordersTOMORROW! I’ve also been house hunting, working on new patterns, and trying to keep up with all the lovely quilts I receive every day. With all of this stuff going on, I’m very grateful I was able to squeeze in a bit of leisure-sewing with this beautiful new fabric collection from Kelly Parker Smith called Windsor Garden by Sweet Bee Designs.

Next up, I’m going to share some more sneak peaks of the two new patterns that will be released very soon. I just couldn’t wait! I haven’t quite set a release date yet, but it will be very soon after I return from Africa. If you sign up for my newsletter, you’ll be the first to know.

First, here it is my first-ever quilt pattern Second Star. This quilt was designed for those adorable small-scale prints that just make you want to burst like a twinkling star. The pattern includes two sizes—a lap size and a baby size. I made the sweet little baby size and decided to leave off the border. It finish at 35” x 51”.

I loved using these cute little prints to create these tiny stars. The pattern will be a great introduction to Half Rectangle Triangles if you’ve never made those before as well as some easy instructions for Flying Geese blocks!

Second is the other project I created with these sweet fabrics. It’s a sneak peak at a pattern that I haven’t ever share before now…Cove Clutches! I sure love these little zippered pouches. The pattern comes with 3 sizes: A coin purse, pencil pouch/wallet, and a tablet size. Each of them features a fun wrist strap.

I was so excited to try out cork fabric for the first time and my seam roller from Violet Craft! The pattern will have options for leather, cork, or an accent cotton fabric.

Thanks to Kelly for creating this perfect collection. Be sure to check out my Instagram post later for a fun giveaway!
